Welcome everyone, to a special episode of the From Hostage to Hero Podcast Special because this is going to be dropping on a day different than Friday. And the reason that we are dropping that, I am going to tell you at the end of this call, unless you already know that. So I'm here to tell you some very exciting information, which is...

We have a BRAND NEW and improved H2H Playground!

And if you're like, "What? H2H Playground just launched a year ago. How is it new already?" Well, the name Playground launched a year ago, but quite frankly, the H2H Crew started over three years ago. It's almost three and a half years old.

Shout out to my founders, the 63 of you, that just joined right from the beginning when we hardly had anything going, and now it is a force to be reckoned with.

So I wanted to tell you about it today, and if you're like, "Oh my God, I don't want to hear about this." Well, rude... And you're going to want to hear about this, because it's awesome.

Here's the thing, there are four components to mastery. You've heard me talk about this before. If you want to master anything, you've got to have training, you have to have practice, you have to have feedback on that practice, because you could definitely practice all day long, but if you're practicing it wrong, that's not helping you, and you need community. I don't know of any other program besides maybe TLC that has those aspects. TLC does a great job, and if you're a TLC-er, many of you in the H2H Crew are a TLC-er, great. I know not everybody has three weeks to go to Wyoming or, where is it now, you guys have moved it, and or be in person.

Although that's great, and we're planning on doing more in-person stuff too, but where I wanted to really fill a need is to get practice and feedback on the regular and you can do it from your office. That's really been the reason why we created the H2H Crew back in July 2020. That and the world forced us to because COVID had hit. Now, after three years of really successful membership, we've had so much fun back there. We have now close to 250 members. It's so much fun.

We sent out a survey and we heard from our members three main things that kept coming back over and over and over again, and these were the three things. We want more practice, we want more community, and we want more method. Meaning a lot of people view H2H as two things.

One, people who just go to trial, elite trial lawyers and that's all you work with, and, two, that we only deal with voir dire and opening, and now closing. And the first one is not true on some level, meaning we work with all kinds of lawyers. You don't have to be an elite trial lawyer to be an H2H. I believe that a lot of people become elite trial lawyers from being an H2H, but we take everybody. We love everybody. If you're there to work, we are there to help you. The second thing is true. We have focused for a long time on voir dire, because I don't think anyone else has ever done, I know no one else has ever done the extensive, extensive work and practice and method like we have with voir dire. We are the voir dire experts. And with that, we believe voir dire and opening are two sides of a conversation, as many of you know, and so we've done a lot on opening and how those two connect and making them really two parts of this conversation. Then, of course, closing is the newest piece we've added.

I think we've done a great job, I think we've done a kick-ass job, and so do a lot of other people. But they're like, "How do we do this if we're not in trial? How does H2H apply to pre-litigation, to before we get into the courtroom?" And so I'm happy to announce that we have changed things up and that it is better than ever.

Here's what we've done...

I'm still doing a monthly training every month, but now you can just attend the monthly training if you're in the crew, or you're thinking of joining the crew, like always.

Or you can sign up for the deep dive, which is the three weeks after the training. So every month we'll have a deep dive, I will teach on something, you'll get assigned if you sign up, and it's no extra charge, and you will be assigned to a small group cohort. And you guys will practice something that I have assigned from the monthly training.

You will then get moved over to Coach K for the mindset aspect of what I was teaching that month, and then you will have a fourth meeting, again with your small group cohort.

This we believe is going to kill a couple of birds with one stone, which is more practice and more community. I can't possibly get to everybody now as we are expanding the membership. This will give you more of a chance to work with your fellow H2H-ers, again, if you choose to join or if you're already in it, and give you a chance to learn more about your members.

We are now excited to offer a Case Roundtable Call at the beginning of every single week in the month. So four times a month, we will have Case Roundtable and they will be case specific. We'll have Case Roundtable Trucking, we'll have Case Roundtable PI, we'll have Case Roundtable Med Mal and Nursing Home, and we'll have Case Roundtable Open Call.

If you're an employment lawyer or elder abuse or you miss the trucking call and you want to come talk about trucking, we have actual trained H2H coaches running each one of those calls. You can drop in any time and get your case round-tabled by the hive mind that is H2H. That alone is worth the price of admission. Those calls are amazing and will send you on the right path.

We are now having a call called Unf*ck Your Brain, and every month Coach K is going to be coaching on a specific topic.

This month, it was the calendar. So you can come in and he will be like, "All right, what's your relationship with your calendar?" And you'll be like, "I hate it. It owns me. I don't know what to do." And boom, you get some coaching every single month. You'll have a different topic every month, money, time, judges, co-counsel, defense counsel, all the things. He is there to support you.

We're going to have a practice management call. That's a brand new call that we've just added now. And that is for those of you who are either in your own practice, thinking of starting your own practice, or maybe you are in someone else's practice but you have a paralegal that you work with and you really want to design how you want your work life to look like, that's going to be led by Coach K and one of our other coaches, Coach Siria. And they're going to talk about how to get in your zone of genius, how to plan your calendar, how to manage people, all the cool things you're going to need to know how to run a practice.

We have the voir dire practice call with me, the presentation skills practice call with me, where you get coaching from yours truly on voir dire and on your presentation skills.

We have trial in 30 days call where you're going to be able to drop in. If you've got trial coming up in the next 30 days, we've got a coach that's going to help you deal with your fear, deal with last minute questions, get you pumped, whatever you need.

We're going to have a special topic or guest webinar every month and we're going to have a call where you're going to learn, those of you who've been in for a little bit, about how we're expanding the method into all other places in trial and pretrial.

So we are having all kinds of cool shit happening in the H2H Playground. We have more calls, but shorter. That's the other thing we heard, that the calls are too long. So a lot of these calls are only an hour long. Easy to add to your calendar.
